I’m moving on…

Sometimes its hard to put into words a feeling so deep within yourself.  How does one portray the true meaning and feeling of feeling the building blocks in life falling into place, how does one describe the truth found in life, the warmth you feel held within a hug or the smile upon someone you love’s face?

Sometimes things just are but music plays its lyrical wonders and moves us beyond all need to explain or describe. A simple single song can speak for which we can’t find the words.

This song means more to me now than ever before, its lyrics speak what my soul wishes to say.  Those that know my journey will understand the fullness that lies between the lines.

I’ve dealt with my ghosts and I’ve faced all my demons
Finally content with a past I regret
I’ve found you find strength in your moments of weakness
For once I’m at peace with myself
I have been burdened with blame, trapped in the past for too long
I’m movin’ on

I’ve lived in this place and I know all the faces
Each one is different but they’re always the same
They mean me no harm but it’s time that I face it
They’ll never allow me to change
But I never dreamed home would end up where I don’t belong
I’m movin’ on

I’m movin’ on
At last I can see life has been patiently waiting for me
And I know there’s no guarantees, but I’m not alone
There comes a time in everyone’s life
When all you can see are the years passing by
And I have made up my mind that those days aren’t gone

I sold what I could and packed what I couldn’t
Stopped to fill up on my way out of town
I’ve loved like I should but lived like I shouldn’t
I had to lose everything to find out
Maybe forgiveness will find me somewhere down this road
I’m movin’ on

I’m movin’ on
I’m movin’ on

  1. I can’t YouTube right now; but the words left me with a feeling of sadness yet hope. It is sad sometimes to move on; but there comes a time when we know we have to move on – we feel the urging coming from our soul. We realize we have done all we could do. Sometimes in our doing, we may even dishonor ourselves but we must ask God for strength to love ourselve enough guide us and to make choices which empower the love within us . Although you have moved on physically, what really matters is that you move on spiritually. You must move on in your mind because if you are still their in your mind, the past will haunt you even more so. So today, lets live for today and ask for devine guidance in all of our travels.

Blessings to you dear lil sis. . . I miss you! PLL, CordieB.
