Being an Ordinary Superhero

It’s a hard life being a Superhero don’t you think? I mean you get up out of bed, put your special gear on, decide whether to put your underwear under your clothes or above, brush your sparklies in your mouth and hopefully your hairballs, don some funky kick ass shoes and start your day. You either walk or jump in your car mobile that is … Continue reading Being an Ordinary Superhero

Nothing worthwhile is ever easy…

I have a few quotes that I live by, the one that has stuck with me the longest is probably “Live life like there is no tomorrow”.  That one for me has the strongest meaning and encompasses who I am and what I stand for. Live life like there is no tomorrow… what does it mean to you? For me it is… Living life without … Continue reading Nothing worthwhile is ever easy…

Balance and the Threads of Life

There is another DNA secquence that isn’t as obvious as the one discovered by the scientists.  The one that I talk of is the undercurrent, unspoken, often unthought of, more mysterious one.  Our DNA is fixed, we all have a unique set that may be similar to others but not exactly the same unless by chance we are a pure bred identical twin and even … Continue reading Balance and the Threads of Life

Self tanning for life

Yesterday while out walking I caught a glimpse of my newly tanned legs sporting shorts that I haven’t fitted in to for years and was so chuffed with myself! I can’t tell you how exciting it was the fact that the mere sight of my bare skin didn’t cause my eyes to get glare cramp. Yip, you know the one where you look at something … Continue reading Self tanning for life

A Symptom of Abuse ~ The Reflex of Life

stopabuseBefore you read on, please know that this post is both long and detail filled  with graphic imagery and the likes there of.  It is not intended to upset anyone nor is it for any purpose other than to explain reflexes, the dangers there of and how hard it is to unlearn them.

Do you stick to what you were taught or are you the type to forge your own beliefs and knowledge?

Perhaps a strange question but one that is pertinent to what happens in our immediate worlds.

Now, if I were to ask you this interview question how would you answer?

You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night. You pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for the bus:

1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.

2. An old friend who once saved your life.

3. The perfect man (or) woman you have been dreaming about. Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car. Think before you continue reading.

It’s just not that big of a deal

I want to laugh some times when people utter those words, a laugh filled with  admiration and love and then I want to open up my arms and just hug them.  I’m talking big hugs here people, bear hugs! Some choices in our life are pretty easy to make. What to have for dinner, should your loo rolls have teddy’s on or imprints of Winnie … Continue reading It’s just not that big of a deal

Slaying the Monsters

Self worth and love are interesting creatures.  When they aren’t present things  can turn nasty beyond our comprehension, the two silent killers. Think Godzilla with a bit of King Kong mixed in with Anaconda and Winnie the Pooh (sorry Pooh Bear). Monster 1: Nada-del-self-worth I am not worthy of their love I don’t deserve to be happy I don’t deserve the success The success I … Continue reading Slaying the Monsters
