Music Live

Copy 1 of DSCF0011

Music is life for me but it hasn’t always been so… In my early years music wasn’t around much, our lifestyle didn’t cater for it much. I found music in my early teens and fell in totally madly in love with it to the point that when I hit London in 2000 I hopped on the concert scene of a lifetime which eventually took me to Brazil to join in the fun of the Rock in Rio 3 festival.

Many good moments, things that I will remember forever, some bad like the time I got kicked in the head by a granny crowd surfing at Glasto 2000 (no jokes) and landed up in the medical tent. Back stage parties and drinks at the small venues, it was the time of my life to say the least!

That a side music is now integral to my daily life, there is a song for every moment in it, be it sad or happy, angry or mellow. There are songs that bring out the tears that hide in wait and songs that bring out the rage that needs to abate, music is life and in all honestly life is music, for me they go hand in hand.

To prove what a loony tune I was in those days or rather concert addict (alas no more the crowds just irritate me and I am ever fearful of another gran-kicking!) here is an abbreviated list of the concerts I have gone to since 2000 – I can’t remember all of them the ex kept the stubs and the autographed paraphernalia (he was worse than me 🙂 )

I have been asked many times which bands I have seen live so now I will keep them all in one place 😀

My goodness!! Look at all these concerts you have gone to!

I clicked on “Music Within” because I had tried to play one of the youtube music videos in a recent post (today) you had inserted but got back the message, “no longer available’…so I was simply curious whether you had written about what music means to you.

Do you play an instrument? Or sing? Do you have band?

Weird, sometimes the videos work sometimes not I normally have to refresh the page each time – pain in the royal arse really.

I have always wanted to play an instrument but never have, I sing and by doing so drive everyone nuts because I sing to everything and anything and normally off key… I’ve been a groupie does that count as having a band?

I like your idea of elaborating on what music means to me, I shall ponder and write 🙂
