Torture for the dieter
Continuing on my investigation of the Girl Scout cookies I opened a box of Tagalongs expecting another “Ok, another cookie” moment. After one bite though I found myself eyeing those near me. No, it wasn’t the let’s share and be happy “eye”, more like “come near me and we will have a little chat about life expectancy”.
Yes, yes, on the box there are these smiling kids all happy outdoors having fun etc but for me, that little face is singing “All mine, they’re mine mine mine” in an oh so sweet voice.
Let’s be straight here. One can not survive on cookies alone, but with these torturous creations entitled “Tagalongs” it may just be possible.
A layer of peanut butter with a rich chocolaty coating? Protein check, carbs check, um and I am pretty sure there are some other nutritious factors I can’t think of right this second.
Inside the package
Just look at that deliciousness! Ok moving on
What would I have them with?
These cuties definitely pair well with a strong coffee such as Equal Exchange Coffee (worker-owned and super delicious), honestly just about anything other than fruit juice and you’ll be in cookie heaven!
Conclusion
These cookies are worth braving the Girl Scout entrance at the supermarket for. The screaming girls are really going “here we have some Tagalongs just for you”!
If you’re on a diet during Girl Scout season (as I call it) make sure to buy your groceries online for delivery only… you will not survive the torture of passing these beauties up!
