In search of heart’s of gold

302 Views 5 Comments

One of my all time favourites by Neil Young, a voice that speaks to the deepest depths of me…

I will forever be a miner for a heart of gold, I have found many such hearts in my quest of being, these stars shine so brightly in day and night skys, they touch my heart and soul. Once upon a time I thought it was a pointless search but I soon realised that if you are open to it and if you never give up these hearts of gold find you and your life will never be the same again.Β  Thank you all you golden hearts, you bring a smile to my face and joy to my life πŸ˜€

I want to live,
I want to give
I’ve been a miner
for a heart of gold.
It’s these expressions
I never give
That keep me searching
for a heart of gold
And I’m getting old.
Keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I’m getting old.

I’ve been to Hollywood
I’ve been to Redwood
I crossed the ocean
for a heart of gold
I’ve been in my mind,
it’s such a fine line
That keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I’m getting old.
Keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I’m getting old.

Keep me searching
for a heart of gold
You keep me searching
for a heart of gold
And I’m growing old.
I’ve been a miner
for a heart of gold.

Neil Young would be god (if he existed) but I’d plump for “Like a Hurricane” or “Hey Hey My My (Into The Black)” or “Powderfinger” or “Cortez the Killer” or “Crime In the City” or ……………………
